Aftermarket wire skirtguards
I just won these vintage skirtguards for 26″ wheels from Easywind Bicycles on eBay. I think Bert-the-Bike will probably wear them, if they fit properly. Does anyone recognize these and know who made them?
Related question: will they rattle when installed and drive me insane?

I don’t have a skirt guard, but I do have metal Honjo fenders. Mine were installed with a small leather washer, which dampens any vibration. I bet you could use a strip of leather to the same effect.
Good luck!
Ooh, leather washers, how smart! Thanks Charlotte – I’ll give that a try.

Update: I don’t know what bike these fit, but they do not fit the curve of a Raleigh 26″ fender – the curve is a smidge too shallow. My guess, since the vendor mostly parts out American-made bikes (great source for Rollfast parts btw), is that these were made for something with 26″ balloon tires. Keith the wonder-mechanic saw them today and speculated that they may even be a DIY solution. Also, the lower attachment point seems to be designed either to go over the rear axle of a single-speed coaster hub, or a braze-on right above the axle.
